Sophia's focus in architecture is to consider design practice through the lens of context; be that local ecology, cultural identity rooted in place, or the historic fabric of our built environment. She obtained her master's in architecture as well as graduate certificate in historic preservation from the University of Florida, and was the first student to graduate from their new campus, Jax Lab. Her studies have dovetailed with her work at Cronk Duch architecture both in the private sector of residential design, and in public interest projects for the city of Jacksonville. In her 4 years at CD, Sophia has obtained expertise in working with challenging architecture review bodies including the Palm Beach Landmark Preservation Committee, and St Augustine's HARB. Sophia continues engage in architecture academia through JAX AAC (academic alliance council), as well as the FL chapter of the ICAA.
