Joel Esposito has worked professionally for over ten years in residential design fulfilling a variety of roles including BIM workflow development, marketing and collateral design, building science consulting, and advanced 3D modeling. In 2018, he built his own house—a process that stoked his interest in other disciplines such as structural and MEP design, energy efficiency, and materials and methods.
He has completed the AIA HSW course "Building Science for Architects" by renowned building scientist Christine Williamson and also earned the Building Performance Institute's Building Science Principles Certificate of Knowledge. During his graduate studies in architecture, he participated as a graduate research assistant at University of Florida's Spatial Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence Research & Experimentation (SHARE) Lab. His ancillary interests include computer science, typography and grid systems, and Japanese design.
